Sustainability

Reducing landfill is one of our key aims.  As such we are seeking to ensure that no items donated to us end up there.  Invariably not all items that are donated to us are suitable to be re-sold by us.  We seek to donate items that are not sports-wear, but are still useable to other local charities. 

We are also seeking to lobby sportswear manufacturers into accountability, particularly with clothing given as prizes at racing events – we see huge amounts of these donated to us, that simply do not sell.  We would like to see these T-shirts removed from goody bags and a more sustainable alternative given.

Items that are not suitable for re-sale are currently stored in our warehouse, and we remain committed to finding an alternative use for them, and we welcome any suggestions that may be made.
